Barcelona suffered a Champions League collapse as they received THREE red cards in their quarter-final exit against Paris Saint-Germain.

Kylian Mbappe earned a remarkable 4-1 victory for PSG after Barca sent off manager Xavi, defender Ronald Arajuo and even their goalkeeping coach.

The La Liga giants came into the second leg with a 3-2 advantage thanks to their victory in Paris last week.

Barcelona then looked on course for the semi-final when Raphinha’s early goal put them two goals ahead on aggregate.

However, the tie turned around when Arajuo received a straight red card for bringing down Bradley Barcola as the last man back.

Former Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele equalized on the night before Vitinha erased last week’s advantage after the break.

With the tie slipping away, Barca boss Xavi lost his temper at the way referee Istvan Kovacs had presided over the match.

The Spaniard threw the advertising board at the fourth official in frustration and his aggression saw him sent into the stands.

Things went from bad to worse for the Catalans when Joao Cancelo dived late on Dembele inside the box to award a penalty.

Mbappe, who will likely face Barcelona as Real Madrid’s rival player next season, then made no mistake on the spot.

Protests from Barcelona goalkeeping coach José Ramon de la Fuente saw him join Xavi in being shown a red as the club pushed for a move back.

But after engaging players forward, Mbappe late scored his second and fourth PSG goals of the evening.

He finished from close range after Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen made two important saves and his teammates failed to clear their lines.

His second-half brace means Mbappé has now scored six goals against Barcelona in the Champions League – his most against any opponent in the competition.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo (23 goals in 39 games) has scored more away from home in the knockout stages of the Champions League than Mbappé (15 in 12 games).

PSG will face Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final, with the German side beating Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate in a thrilling encounter.
