‘X-Files’ Gillian Anderson Recalls Her FBI Time With Taylor Swift Meme – PEOPLE

Anderson and Duchovny led the Fox series from 1993 to 2002, as well as its brief reboot from 2016 to 2018. Scully’s portrayal was The crown the actress’ first major role, for which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1997.

On the April 3 episode of Today On the show, Anderson discussed rumors of a third go-round for the longest-running sci-fi series in American television history.

Even though she said “there’s a chance [a reboot will] Happen,” the question of whether she would reprise her iconic role remains up in the air.

“Whether I’m involved in any of this is a whole different thing,” Anderson added, but she’s “not saying no.”

Anderson currently has other projects in the works, including a Tron the film is expected to be released in 2025 and The abandoned, a Western drama series opposite Lena Headey and Lucas Till. She recently starred in the biographical drama Scoopbased on the memoirs of television producer Sam McAlister.
