But calling pro wrestling wrong has always been a bit inaccurate; the physicality and the dangers are very real and WWE RAW Champion Asuka felt it again last night.
Asuka and her partner Charlotte Flair took on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on RAW and Asuka would eventually lose a tooth.
The RAW Women’s Champion had Nia Jax locked in Asuka’s lock as the match hit the straight and Baszler stepped in to save her partner.
As you can see in the clip below, Baszler kicked Asuka in her shoulder, but the Japanese star moved her head at the wrong time and it deflected the kick straight into her mouth.
Charley Caruso confirmed on RAW Talk that Asuka actually lost a tooth as a result of the kick. However, she finished the match like a soldier.
Baszler checked on Asuka as soon as this happened and knew she had caught up with her, albeit unintentionally.
It’s hard to blame Baszler’s gate, as it seems to be purely a matter of timing on the two ladies’ part.
Asuka didn’t have the best run as a RAW Women’s Champion, much to the chagrin of WWE fans.
