OXFORD, Miss. – As the calendar moves closer to fall and the start of the basketball season draws closer, excitement surrounding Ole Miss women’s basketball continues to grow exponentially with the announcement of the selling single-game tickets for the Rebels’ opening night against Oklahoma.
For the first time, fans have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the game against the Sooners before the rest of the single-game tickets go on sale.
“We can’t take another leap in our program without increased fan support. I don’t know anyone who came to our game and didn’t have fun,” the head coach said. Yolett McPhee-McCuin. Fans have the opportunity to make history by helping the Rebels break the single-game attendance record in SJB Pavilion, as well as giving Oklahoma an early welcome to raucous SEC crowds before they join the conference in 2024.
To get a first look at this year’s team, Ole Miss is hosting its annual Square Jam from downtown Oxford on October 6 at 6:30 p.m. CT. At the end of the month, Ole Miss hosts Rust College in its only exhibition game from SJB Pavilion on October 29.
The buzz around Ole Miss women’s basketball is at a fever pitch as the Rebels enter their sixth year under McPhee-McCuin following an exhilarating NCAA Tournament where the Rebels defeated No. 1 seed Stanford in the second round to reach 11th rank in the school.th Sweet 16. Ole Miss returns a strong core from last season’s team, while adding experience and youth with three additions from the transfer portal and the introduction of five freshmen.
