Women’s Basketball Lands Another Transfer With Forward Kylie Buckley – Oakland University Athletics

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies stayed busy this offseason, adding another piece to their team with the transfer of Kylie Buckley.

Buckley played his first season at Niagara University. A 6’1 forward, Buckley played in 30 games for the Purple Eagles. The Livonia, NY native scored a season-high 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting against Stonehill (11/19/23). The sophomore looks to help anchor a growing Oakland frontcourt to pair with an already dynamic backcourt, which recently added guard Cali Denson to its roster.

“I’m really excited to have Kylie join the Golden Grizzly family. She plays the game the right way – extremely hard,” said the Oakland head coach. Jeff Tungate. “Kylie averaged 26 points per game in high school and gained valuable experience as a freshman at Niagara, appearing in 30 games and shooting 57% from the floor. She finishes well around the rim, is very good at running the basketball and has range at the three point line, she fits our system perfectly and I can’t wait to have her on campus.
