There’s a social media content creator on TikTok whose videos recently started going viral because of how much she looks like superstar Jennifer Lopez. Of course, we know what you’re thinking. Celebrity lookalikes are a dime a dozen, right? If so, donate all the pennies to makeup artist and digital designer Eve.
Eve has been posting content on TikTok since February 2021. Most of her videos generate tens of thousands — sometimes hundreds of thousands — of views. Her latest videos, however, started hitting millions of viewers a few weeks ago.
It all started with a video Eve posted in mid-October where she transformed into JLo while putting on makeup. The song she chose to play in the background was “All I Have” from Lopez’s 2002 album It’s me… so. The song features LL Cool J, who actually snuck into Eve’s comments after posting the video to share emojis with her, including a mighty fist. “OMG,” Eve replied.
In the video, which garnered 6.2 million views, Eve transforms into JLo before our eyes with foundation, eyeliner, concealer and other cosmetics. She completes the look with the same kind of hoop earrings and a fluffy white cap that Lopez sports in the “All I have” Musical clip.
In another video posted by Eve a few days later, which currently has 5.3 million views, she does not show the process of transforming into JLo, but rather begins the video with a close-up of her face without makeup, then passes her hand on it to reveal the JLo look.
In her latest video, which she posted on Wednesday, December 7, Eve records herself covering her face with her hands. There is a photo of Lopez in the background. The video’s narrator says, “Stand next to a photo of a celebrity everyone tells you you look like. Show me what you look like!”
Eve then removes her hands from her face to reveal another example of the uncanny resemblance. One user was so blown away he said: “How you look more like J Lo than J Lo 😁”
As busy as Jennifer Lopez is these days, maybe two JLos are better than one.
