Wolves have finally agreed a £15m deal with Flamengo for midfielder Joao Gomes, according to talkSPORT.
The deal was put on hold after Flamengo accepted a rival offer from Lyon, but Gomes refused to join the French club.

Lyon had looked at Wolves’ offer for Gomes but the player remained firm in his determination to complete his Molineux move
Gomes is set to be Wolves’ fifth addition to the January transfer window, with Julen Lopetegui also agreeing deals for Matheus Cunha, Craig Dawson, Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina.
The 21-year-old has previously been linked with Premier League big hitters Liverpool and Manchester United.
South American football expert Tim Vickery has told talkSPORT that the Red Devils considered making a move for Gomes when Andreas Pereira was on loan at Flamengo last season.
However, Man United’s decision to sell Pereira to Fulham this summer has put any potential approach for Gomes on ice.
Gomes has also spoken of his desire to play for Liverpool amid previous links with them.
Responding to rumors of a switch from Anfield, Gomes said in September: “Liverpool are a team I would play for. I have the greatest desire to play.

Gomes’ first outing in a Wolves shirt could be against Liverpool
“Playing in the Champions League is my biggest dream and my family’s biggest dream in football.”
For now, Gomes will have to settle for a Premier League relegation battle with Wolves only out of the drop zone on goal difference.
Wolves’ next outing will see them face Liverpool at Molineux in the Premier League on February 4.
