Will Smith was spotted with a big smile on his face with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, as they stopped for a bite to eat at Nobu in Malibu earlier on Saturday.
The pair were finally seen together for the first time since the shocking TV slap in the face at the Oscars in March. However, the 53-year-old Hollywood star seemed in very good spirits after his public apology to Chris Rock.
He shared the video on his Instagram a few weeks earlier on July 29, admitting his “behavior was unacceptable”.

On July 29, Will shared a lengthy video from the night of the infamous slap that quickly became big news and leaked to social media. The actor apologized not only to Chris, but also to his wife and a few others.
“I contacted Chris and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk when he is, he will. So let me tell you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.
He also apologized to Rock’s mother and all of his family, especially Rock’s mother and younger brother Tony.
“I just didn’t realize how many people were hurt at that point so I want to apologize to Chris’ mum. I want to apologize. I want to apologize to Tony Rock …Tony Rock was my man and it’s probably beyond repair,’ he said.
He also apologized to Jada Pinkett Smith, his wife whose honor he claimed to be defending with the explosion, and said she had “nothing to do with it”.

Public apologies: During a video where he publicly apologized for slapping Chris, Will said: ‘My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk’
Insisting that his wife had nothing to do with the slap, he continued: “I made my own choice based on my own experiences of my history with Chris.
‘Jada has nothing to do with it. I’m sorry, baby, he said. “I want to say sorry to my children and my family for the warmth I brought to all of us.”
Later that night, Will received an Oscar for his performance in King Richard, but during his acceptance speech he never apologized to Chris.
The July video wasn’t Will’s first public apology. The day after the Oscars, the actor typed a message on his Instagram, noting, “My behavior at last night’s Oscars was unacceptable and inexcusable.”
He explained that a joke about his wife’s health “was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally”. She had been diagnosed with alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes excessive hair loss.
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of place and I was wrong. I’m embarrassed and my actions weren’t indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.
Looking on the bright side: Although Will hasn’t heard from Chris about his apology, the star seems to be moving on from the past
