‘Ouch, I said don’t bite’: Will Ferrell drives electric vehicle through scenes from popular Netflix series, including Walking Dead, in new Super Bowl spot for GM
Will Ferrell has teamed up with GM and Netflix for a new ad that will debut Sunday during Super Bowl LVII.
The Saturday Night Live alum – and huge Los Angeles Lakers fan – 55, drives an electric vehicle through a scene from The Walking Dead in the foreground.
“General Motors is going electric and Netflix is joining in by including more electric vehicles in their movies and shows,” the Anchorman star said. It’s the least they can do.
“So if you’re going to be overrun by an army of the dead, why not do it in an EV?” he asked as a zombie bit his arm.
“OW, I said don’t bite,” the old-school actor said, shaking the zombie off his arm.

The Mist: The old school star, 55, appears in a scene from The Mist where he passes out
In the next scene, the Spirited star visits the world of The Mist where he gets into the VE and says, “Or, if you’re willingly kidnapped, why not be kidnapped into a VE?”
Mist begins to envelop the car and Ferrell asks, “What’s that smell?” Is it pine? And then faints.
The Bewitched star then lands in the world of Bridgerton. As he walks on a boardwalk past a mansion with a woman dressed in Victorian clothing, he says, “Now should they add electric vehicles everywhere?”
The Zoolander actor turns to the camera and says “They won’t.” They won’t. Shouldn’t or shouldn’t? His companion replies: “It is neither.
He lands in the Stranger Things universe as Dusty, saying “Erica, what about here?” Priah Ferguson, who plays Erica on the hit show, replies, “You’re ruining the show, you idiot.”
The GM EV provides the escape vehicle for the runaway bride in the Love is Blind music video as the groom shouts “Tammy, wait!” The bride replies, “Later loser” and jumps into the VE.
“But everywhere else it makes sense,” he says, turning to the bride. “Brad was so much better for you,” he added.
The Squid Game segment is in English and Korean with the Elf star wearing the show’s signature green tracksuit.

Then the Blades of Glory star lands right in the middle of Squid Game, saying, “Why not make these cars more electric?”
“You moved,” the man to his right said in Korean.
“I didn’t,” Ferrell responds in English.
In the ad’s final scene, the land of the lost is back in the first EV with a zombie.
“Gordon, you’re killing me,” he says as the zombie laughs. Ferrell was turned into a zombie due to the bite he received in the first scene. “I mean you literally killed me.”
