In 2020, Wiley unveiled Boosty Gang – The Album, an extension of the “Boasty” cut assisted by Stefflon Don, Sean Paul and Idris Elba. A notable cut from the project was “Bad Like We,” a single that – according to Wiley – was supposed to feature heavyweights Nicki Minaj and Popcaan. In response to a recent tweet, Minaj revealed that a leak had put the collaboration on hold:
“I love it but I had to put a wedge on it. I don’t like when ppl leak di ting b4 I can share it my way. But I’ll approve it now if he wants to throw it on streaming services tell him it’s kool.
In response to the aforementioned endorsement, last week “Bad Like We” officially hit the ground running for fans to enjoy. In addition to Nicki Minaj and Popcaan, the updated version of the eye-catching cut also features an assist from British singer Dyo (formerly known as Mrs. D). All parties add high-profile verses to the track, with Minaj delivering a patois-infused subject that’s perfect for the dance floor and the bedroom:
“Yo they got a ting but they ain’t bad like ah me, real my hole stay tight and it wet like the sea, real mi bus whine, I’m just gonna bounce on ‘pon di D, uh, they got a ting but they nah bad like me, uh, listen to me, stop fuckin’ with me, put that bag on your head, they’re fucking dead, when I’m in the UK, real bad guys with me, who cares busy?
