Justin and Hailey Bieber may often be photographed by paparazzi, but the couple chose not to attend tonight’s Grammy Awards. Justin was nominated, albeit in a more minor category for Best Musical Motion Picture (Our world). Considering Justin isn’t strongly nominated this year, the absence of both is understandable.
The two were photographed this Friday, in West Hollywood, the same city where the Los Angeles ceremony takes place today:
Hailey recently spoke about call her daddy about her and Justin’s decision to get married so soon. In 2018, they started dating again in June, got engaged in July and legally married in a New York courthouse in September. (They just celebrated their fourth wedding in 2022.)
She clarified that despite Justin dating ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in the spring of 2018, Justin and Selena’s relationship was very much over by the time he and Hailey reconciled.
“I’ve been involved with him since I was 18,” Hailey began. “Also the timeline that sometimes is about us getting together and then getting engaged and him hanging out with his ex before that, it’s so crazy. I literally never talked about that. I get it, again what it looks like from the outside. There’s a lot of perception there. But it was a situation where I know for a fact that it was the right thing for them to close that door. They weren’t not in a relationship at this time, but there is a very long history there, and it’s not my relationship. It has nothing to do with me, so I respect that very much, but I know that It closed a chapter, and I think it was the best thing that could have happened to him to move on, to get engaged, to get married, and to move on and continue his life that way.
“As a woman, I would never want to get into a relationship with someone and be engaged to them and get married to them and think deep inside, I wonder if it was really like, closed to you,” she continued later. “And I know for a fact that the reason we were able to get back together was because it was completely closed. And it’s respectful to me.”
