If there’s one thing Nicki Minaj doesn’t play with, it’s her name. The superstar rapper isn’t letting a gossip blogger get away with calling her “cocaine” and claiming she “shoves” cocaine up her nose. As a result, Minaj is suing the blogger for $75,000 in a defamation lawsuit, according to rolling stone.

The gossip blogger, who goes by the name Nosy Heaux, is accused of “falsely” labeling Minaj a drug addict in a now-deleted Twitter video posted on Monday.

In the video, we can hear Nosy Heaux, whose real name is Marley Green, say according to rolling stone“[Minaj is] shoving all that cocaine, shoving all that cocaine up his nose. Allegedly. Thanks. Allegedly. But we all know it’s true. Fuck – look, I can’t even say supposedly with this because I – we know it’s true. I’m not saying allegedly on that. Nicki Minaj is a coker.

From rolling stone:

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in federal court in New York, says Green also posted “despicable comments” about Minaj’s one-year-old son. Those statements were not actionable, but Minaj says they show Green’s “fundamental lack of decency” and should be considered as the rapper seeks punitive damages.

“Green’s video statement was false because the plaintiff never used cocaine,” Minaj’s lawsuit states.

“In another time, Green’s lie would have made no sense because she is the ultimate ‘person’…a person whose major accomplishments in life have been a series of criminal charges, bail and bad debts. But this is the age of social media, an age in which ‘no one’ can find an undeserved following through relentless self-promotion,” the document asserts.

Since the video, Green has tweeted and make videos speaking to Nicki Minaj, her fans and the lawsuit.

In a tweet, she wrote: “Nicki Minaj has been raging for several days now. She threatened me, sent her barbz to harass me and threaten me with death, now doxxing me. She went too far and I am definitely suing her. #Survivingthepettys.”

According to Rolling Stone, Green’s attorney Bob Samini claimed his client was targeted by Minaj because she interviewed Jennifer Houghthe woman who claims Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, raped her in 1994 in New York City when she was 16.

More from Rolling Stone:

“Marley Green is a disgrace – someone so lacking in basic decency that she posted despicable comments about Nicki’s one-year-old son,” Minaj’s attorney Judd Burstein said in a statement. duel sent to rolling stone.

“When this case is over, she won’t be allowed to use the name ‘Nosey Heaux’ anymore because we’ll take her brand away when she doesn’t have enough money to pay the judgment. Anyone else who spreads lies about Nicki will suffer the same fate. My marching orders are to aggressively pursue anyone tracked by any media or social network that hurts them with intentional lies. Eventually the lesson will be learned,” Burstein said.

Minaj also shared her thoughts on the lawsuit in a series of tweets. One read: “Now hope you do all that dirty work to love yourself enough to hire top notch lawyers for you and pay your bills once I own your blogs, your shows, these IG pages y’all tried to protect so badly. A few artists on file too. I’ll own your post. Nippes.”

Just this year fellow rapper Cardi B filed a $1.25 million defamation lawsuit against gossip blogger Tasha K and won. We will see if these the results end up being the same.
