Luis Suarez has been a revelation since Barcelona replaced Atletico Madrid and Atleti fans are hoping to see his famous celebration consistently this season.
Suarez marked time for his prolific and trophy-filled career at Barca last summer, joining La Liga rivals Atletico.
He has since shot in goal and helped Diego Simeone’s men climb to the top of the table.
He will face Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16 with Blues fans remembering the Uruguayan well from his time at Liverpool.
Suarez will now be desperately doubtful of making it on the scoresheet and moving to celebrate in his own way.
But what does its celebration mean?
Why does Luis Suarez kiss his wrist when celebrating a goal?
With over 20 goals in each of his past eight seasons, you’ve likely seen Suarez pull out his celebratory moves.
It’s actually a tribute to his family.
He has a tattoo on his wrist that reads “Delfina,” which is the name of Suarez’s eldest daughter.
He first kisses his ring finger as a nod to his wife Sofia, before kissing the tattoo.
And finally, he ends the celebration by kissing three of his fingers to signify his wife and two children.
