Why did Everton vs Nottingham Forest have an early kick-off time this weekend? Crucial Premier League relegation clash moved

Everton face Nottingham Forest this weekend, but the match will start a little earlier than expected.

It’s a huge game at the bottom of the table, with a draw that benefits neither side after their points deductions for breaking financial rules.

Therefore, one would expect both teams to go for it as the Premier League relegation battle heats up.

However, the kick-off time is slightly unusual.

Why does Everton vs Forest start early?

Everton are set to host Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park this Sunday, April 21.

Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., which is unusual as Premier League matches on a Sunday usually start at 2 or 4:30 p.m.

However, with the match having been selected to be shown on television, Sky Sports appear to have changed the kick-off time.

It’s unclear why they decided to change the time from the usual 2 p.m. slot.

Sometimes kick-off times are changed in conjunction with the police, but in Everton’s statement regarding the selection of the match for television coverage there is no mention of the police.

The match is expected to be broadcast on Sky Sports, with coverage scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Everton’s Merseyside rivals Liverpool will also play Fulham later today.

This match has not been moved and is scheduled to start at the normal time of 4:30 p.m.

But Manchester United v Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final was moved to 3.30pm, so this may have had an impact on the Goodison clash.
