Usher will be the halftime performer at the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show in Las Vegas on February 11. The eight-time Grammy Award winner will headline the halftime show for the first time in his illustrious career, and it will be seen on CBS. and will be broadcast on Paramount+.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally be able to cross a Super Bowl performance off my list. I can’t wait to give the world a show unlike anything they’ve seen before,” Usher said in a statement provided to CBS. Sports. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity possible. I will see you very soon.”

Usher has been in residency in Las Vegas since 2021. There are no further details on what songs Usher will perform or if other artists will join him.

Usher previously appeared at halftime as a guest at Super Bowl XLV, headlined by the Black Eyed Peas. He told Access Hollywood earlier this year that he would be “silly” to turn down the halftime show if it was offered to him.

“I think I have a catalog that obviously speaks for itself, so to be able to celebrate that day, it’s obviously about football, but everyone really expects the performance,” Usher said. Seeing Michael Jackson perform and recently seeing Snoop [Dogg] And [Dr.] Dre… seeing so many incredible performances like Prince… it’s always been kind of a bucket list.”

Jay-Z singled out Usher for the performance. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has produced the series since partnering with the NFL in 2019.

Beyond his impeccable singing and exceptional choreography, Usher reveals his soul,” said Jay-Z in a press release. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the biggest stages in the world. The first half involving Roc Nation was Super Bowl LIV with Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Emme Muniz. The Weeknd followed, with Eminem, Dr. Dre. Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige to headline Super Bowl Los Angeles following 2021 season. Rihanna performed at halftime of Super Bowl LVII.

Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance last year was also the first sponsored by Apple Music.
