Two of Jennifer Lopez’s famous exes – Mark Anthony and Ben Affleck – have been asked to comment on the diva’s talent, beauty, work ethic and fabulousness for a new cover for InStyle magazine.
But the current man in Lopez’s life, her supposedly recurring fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, is conspicuously absent from the story, Page Six noted.

Additionally, the $ 1.8 million engagement ring the former New York Yankees slugger gave him in March 2019 does not appear on his left hand in any of the accompanying photos, Page Six added. .
Lopez, 52, wears many other diamonds in the photos, including Tiffany & Co. diamonds on her fingers, but not Rodriguez’s massive emerald-cut ring.

Rodriguez’s complete absence from the story comes weeks after news of the celebrity super couple’s split – before the couple quickly insisted that they were together again or that they were not. had never really broken up but that they were “trying to solve some things.”
A media insider quoted by Page Six said that Rodriguez, 45, was absent from the InStyle article, to say the least.
“This story was made months ago, so it seems to indicate that Jennifer and Alex have been having issues for months,” the insider said. “How else would her ex-husband and ex-fiance be included, but not her current fiance?”
Rodriguez has also not been featured in any of Lopez’s Instagram posts since late February, just before reports of their problems exploded on the internet. During their four-year relationship, the couple had become famous for regularly posting affectionate photos of the two together, looking fit and fabulous and posing on red carpets or fainting in romantic locations.
Rodriguez most recently shared a photo of himself with Lopez on March 26, but it was to promote a new brand of nutritional supplements.
The InStyle story is titled “Jennifer Lopez in her own words (and for everyone else)” and consists of quotes from her and a number of friends and former partners. This includes Affleck, who was her fiancé from 2002 to 2004, and Anthony, her ex-husband and the father of her 13-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
In his praise of Lopez, Affleck jokingly asks, “Where do you keep the fountain of youth?” Why do you look the same as you did in 2003 and look like I’m in my 40s… at best? “
Other guests to comment on Lopez include Michelle Obama, Charlize Theron and Leah Remini.
Page Six reported that the InStyle story was intended to promote Lopez’s new film “Marry Me,” which was originally due for release in February but has been pushed back to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A source close to the couple insisted that A-Rod’s absence had nothing to do with issues in their relationship.
“This is absolutely not true, and reading this when you have little knowledge of the context is misleading,” the source said.
The couple admitted last month in a statement released to People and other media outlets that they were “working on certain things.” A source close to the couple told Page Six their relationship has been “on the rocks” for some time, while another told People they have been going through a “rough patch.”
News of their breakup came amid Rodriguez’s latest allegations of infidelity. Speculation has spread that he had an affair with “Southern Charm” reality TV star Madison LeCroy, as People reported. But other sources have insisted to People that the couple’s “rough patch” had nothing to do with LeCroy or any other “third parties.”
Regarding this month’s coverage of InStyle, the couple’s insider source told Page Six that Lopez’s camp wanted the story to focus on memories older than his decades-long career. .
That’s why, for example, Matthew McConaughey and Judy Greer were invited to share their memories of working with her in the 2001 romantic comedy “The Wedding Planner.”
“Jennifer Lopez – what can’t she do?” McConaughey said. “Extremely deliberate, intentional, fully choreographed and self-aware, she even knows how to pass accidents as accidents. … Its success is no accident.
This is also why Affleck was invited to comment. The couple got engaged from 2002 to 2004, after meeting during the making of the film “Gigli”. The film was released in 2003 at the height of their romance, but was a notorious critical and commercial failure. Despite their breakup, Affleck recently talked about staying on good terms with Lopez.
He told InStyle: “She remains the most hardworking person I have met in this industry to this day. She’s got a great talent, but she’s also worked really hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, finally, to be getting the credit she deserves.
