NBA All-Star Weekend is also an opportunity for players to get away from the regular season routine and have fun with their contemporaries.
The NBA has done a great job rotating accommodation duties in cities across the United States over the years. The first All-Star Game was held at the old Boston Garden in 1951 while the most recent was in Cleveland.

This will mark the 30th anniversary of the 1993 NBA All-Star Game played in Salt Lake City.

NBA All-Star on-court events begin Friday, February 17 and run through Sunday, February 19.
As is customary with All-Star weekends, which are heavily focused on the fan experience, events will also take place at venues around the city, including the Salt Palace Convention Center and the Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus.
Future NBA All-Star Game locations
The 2024 NBA All-Star Game will take place in Indianapolis from February 16-18, 2024.
Indianapolis was originally scheduled to host the 2021 NBA All-Star Game. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2024.
