USWNT football ace and wife of Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson, Mallory Pugh, shared a hilarious post about popstar Justin Bieber’s absence from the Super Bowl halftime show 58 Sunday.
In his Instagram story, we can see TE Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs facing their head coach Andy Reid. The meme suggests an enraged Kelce asks Reid:
“Where is Justin Bieber?”
This hilarious meme is one of many that surfaced online following Bieber’s no-show, which did not go down well with fans as they expected the Canadian singer to accompany Usher to half-time.
Rather than performing with his mentor Usher, with whom he worked on the hit song “Somebody to Love,” Bieber was spotted among the audience with his wife Hailey Bieber. This caused a few people to take notice, as earlier rumors suggested that Justin Bieber and Usher were talking about doing a combined performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.
Bieber’s fans wanted to see him perform live at what would have been his second concert in 2024, following a smaller-scale event on February 1 in Toronto. After postponing the Justice World Tour until 2023, Bieber focused on his music and kept a low profile.
With reports that Bieber is parting ways with his longtime manager Scooter Braun, some believe the singer is ready to return this year with a new album and possibly a new management group. As fans eagerly await his next move, they are also curious as to why the 29-year-old refused Usher’s request to perform in the Super Bowl halftime show.
