According to WABetainfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, the messaging platform submitted the update through the Android Play Store beta program bringing the version to 18.104.22.168. WhatsApp is working on redesigning the chat shortcuts in the “Business Info” section of its WhatsApp Business app for Android. This feature is still under development and it is not known when this feature will be available in the app.
“WhatsApp is starting to roll out another redesigned element for specific beta testers: the header of the Disappearing Messages section. WhatsApp is releasing this small change today, for some beta users. More users will receive it in the next updates, ”said WABetainfo.
Previously, WhatsApp introduced a new sticker pack for observing “Earth Day”. “To celebrate Earth Day, we’ve created a sticker pack that highlights the steps you can take to protect our planet and drive progress,” WhatsApp tweeted with a brief video of the stickers that will be available in the pack, the company said.
According to the messaging platform, the stickers provide a conversational and fun way for people to remember to take action to protect the planet and to celebrate those actions in an environmentally friendly way.
They were created by Juan Molinet, an Argentinian illustrator who lives in Berlin and is passionate about raising awareness about climate change. An image of the new sticker pack, how it can be used and a short video of it can be found here. These stickers can be downloaded and used worldwide in WhatsApp, and can also be viewed here.
