It seemed like it was impossible, as if it would never happen, but it did happen: Johnny Depp shows his age.
After more than 20 years as one of the most attractive men in Hollywood, Depp has looked a little worse lately, and what’s strange is that it seems to happen almost overnight, like a banana.
Appearing at the Venice Film Festival earlier in September, it didn’t look great, but we were slow to accept the truth. Maybe it was just in comparison to the vision of beauty that Amber Heard had?
We wouldn’t look great next to her either, and that narrows the couple’s 23-year age gap.

Now, seeing photos from the Toronto International Film Festival, we have to admit it. Either something happened to the portrait in his attic, or it’s just the natural aging process, and even Johnny Depp is not exempt.
Anyway, we thought we would go back to his most emblematic looks.
21 JUMP STREET

You probably know the story: they met on With scissors together he proposed in 1990 and got “Winona forever” tattooed on his forearm.
It couldn’t last. They separated in 1993 and he changed his tattoo to say “ Wino forever ”, which is a pretty dark feeling. Nothing gold can remain.

Depp and Paradis have been together for 14 years and have had two children together. It’s a pretty good stretch even in non-Hollywood terms, and Depp really took on family life.
He declared in 2006 that parenthood had given him “a real foundation, a real stronghold for standing up in life, at work, in everything”.
It also led him to Pirates of the Caribbean openness, complete with eyeliner and a braided beard.

It wasn’t a good time for Depp in terms of style, but it wasn’t the worst. Give up the hat, the keffiyeh and the whitewashed streak, take a shower, and he’s a handsome man.

And that’s pretty much how it went for most of the 2000s and early 2010s. Depp was not at the top of the late 80s and 90s, but he was not far.
We were lulled by a false sense of security, thinking it would stay that way forever.
How wrong we were.

Then it happened: Venice. Before, we thought it was glamorous and romantic, now it’s the city that robbed us of Johnny Depp.
