It’s winter ! That means cold weather for much of the United States, but what does that weather look like? It can be bright sunshine or heavy clouds. Snow, rain or mix. And the wind too. KidsPost needs drawings of all these winter weather variations to accompany our print edition forecasts and in our online weather art gallery. We hope you are up to the challenge. Besides the weather, you can add any landscape you like, as well as people or animals.

Get out your pencils, pencils or markers and get creative! If your artwork matches the weather forecast for an upcoming day, we can publish it in KidsPost.

⋅ You must be between 5 and 13 years old.

⋅ Fill in your name, age and city.

⋅ Bright colors work best.

⋅ You can use any art supplies you have.

⋅ Try to avoid leaving a lot of white space on the page.

A parent, guardian or teacher must authorize the publication of your drawing. Ask that person to email the art to [email protected] with your first and last name, age, and hometown. Or mail it to 1301 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20071. Look for your art Monday through Thursday in the print and online KidsPost at kidspost.com.

A reminder from the KidsPost team: Our stories are for ages 7-13. We welcome discussions from readers of all ages, but please follow our community guidelines and make comments appropriate for this age group.
