What did Bazzi say about Taylor Swift? Singer apologizes for 2018 comments E! News UK

American singer and songwriter Andrew Bazzi recently addressed the “Taylor Swift thing” during his appearance on the Zach Sang Show podcast.

Bazzi specifically spoke about his comments regarding Swift, which he made in May 2018 while appearing on the same podcast. However, this time the 25-year-old singer expressed his regret and apologized for his past comments.

In May 2018, Bazzi appeared on the show to talk about his Cosmic album. However, apart from talking about his album, the singer and his hosts discussed at length on multiple topics related to the music industry.

At one point during the chat, Bazzi commented that fans weren’t listening to Taylor Swift as he answered a question about saving pop music. Here is what he said:

“As a pop star, you can sell stadiums. Look at Taylor Swift, she literally sells stadiums, but people don’t listen to her albums.”

Coming to the podcast to promote his brand new album Infinite Dream, Bazzi took the opportunity to voluntarily express his regret for his past comments on Swift.

At first Bazzi clarified the context of his comments saying:

“I was trying to make a point about pop music, how I thought the relevance of pop music…I was making a point about hip-hop, in my opinion, had turned into popular music .Traditional pop music hasn’t had the same relevance as before.”

He added:

“And, I referred to the biggest, the most powerful, the most listened to with the biggest audience, like being just a fucking idiot and the type of person who is sporadic and will throw out a name or just say something trying to make an indicate.”

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter explained how bad the clip sounded, which still upset him, as he continued:

“I have no regrets, and even the mistakes I made, I think, are intentional. Maybe it will turn into that one day for me. But it regrets me and upsets me because she is so… She writes to him She kind of represents all the things that I represent as an artist She cares what her videos look like She puts on an amazing live performance.

Bazzi pointed out how a naïve comment would end up robbing him of an opportunity to collaborate with Taylor Swift or even talk to her about her influence on her music.

The singer added that Swift would never even watch this video, but if she ever does, he wants to say he loves her. In conclusion, Bazzi apologized:

“I’m sorry, and we should be friends. I’m sure you might like me, maybe you might hate me.”

The singer also explained how Taylor Swift was the one who supported him during the early stages of his career, which is another reason for his apology.

As mentioned, when Bazzi came to the Zach Sang Show, he touched on several topics during his speech. However, it was the comment about American singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift that got her a lot of flak from fans, especially after she shared her song. Mine with his fans.

Host Zach Sang asked Bazzi:

“You have publicly stated that you are saving pop music. Do you still believe that?”

The singer-songwriter replied in the affirmative and referenced Taylor Swift while talking about how various artists are selling out stadiums, but in reality no one listens to their pop albums.

Bazzi’s comment was endorsed by fellow podcaster Dan Zolot, who claimed he hasn’t listened to Swift’s albums yet. Bazzi then elaborated on his point by adding:

“No one has. I respect Taylor Swift so much. Really. She’s like every businesswoman’s businesswoman. She sells stadiums. That’s every artist’s goal. She plays in the biggest venues she can play. But, I’m talking about the culture. People don’t listen to pop albums anymore.

Interestingly, the 11-time Grammy winner has never responded to Bazzi’s comments, while the 25-year-old artist has long been criticized by fans.
