German center-back Antonio Rudiger is accused of biting Frenchman Paul Pogba during Euro 2020 between the two countries.
The Manchester United man was in top form during the first half of the successful Group F game, with his delightful pass outside the boot leading straight to the first goal – with Mats Hummels transforming into his own net by Lucas. Hernandez cross.
However, towards the end of half-time, Pogba was embroiled in an altercation with Chelsea star Rudiger.
The defender was tagging Pogba from behind and appeared to be talking to him when he was caught by TV cameras moving his mouth to the midfielder’s shoulder.
While it is unclear exactly what Rudiger did and Pogba did not immediately react, the World Cup winner was clearly frustrated as he pointed at his shoulder blades before protesting with the referee about the incident.
No VAR check was forthcoming and nothing more was done about the incident during the match.
Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira and Ian Wright, who were on duty for ITV, were undecided about what had happened and to what extent Pogba had been ‘bitten’.

“When you see that reaction from Pogba, it looks like a bite,” said the Frenchman and Arsenal legend Vieira.
“I don’t really understand what he’s trying to do there.”
Former United skipper Keane joked: “I think it was more of a snack than a bite. It wasn’t a good bite, but a silly thing to do. “
Wright, however, believes Pogba’s lack of immediate reaction shows that he wasn’t bitten: “He didn’t flinch at all. I can not see him.
