TalkSPORT host Simon Jordan is adamant that there will be suitors for Declan Rice this summer, but they will have to pay more than £ 100million for him.
The West Ham and England midfielder have played every minute of the Premier League season so far, with David Moyes’ side sitting fourth in the table.
Rice has been linked with major moves to Chelsea and Manchester United in recent months – and former Crystal Palace owner Jordan believes question marks over his future as Hammers will intensify this summer.
He told talkSPORT: “It would be interesting to see what happens with Declan Rice at the end of the season.
“His performances have been so good that there will be contenders. There will be suitors with the money.
“Then you will see how much pressure David Gold and David Sullivan are under if someone is willing to write a check for £ 80million, £ 90million for this player.
TalkSPORT host Jim White claims West Ham owners value Rice at over £ 100million.
He added: ‘Sullivan has told me before it has to be north of £ 100million or else they won’t entertain him.
“We’ll wait and see what happens with this.
West Ham’s chances of keeping Rice will increase if they get Champions League football this season.
The Hammers are two points above fifth-placed Chelsea heading into a series of tough games against Man City, Leeds, Manchester United and Arsenal.
When asked if he thinks West Ham can make the top four, Rice told Monday’s talkSPORT Breakfast: “Oh yeah, 100%.
“I would be wrong to sit here and say it’s not something I’m thinking about. I want to be in these places now.
“This is where this club deserves to be, it’s a huge club. We have the quality and this is where we have to push.
“The next four games will define that. We have City then Leeds then United and then Arsenal, four massive games.
“So if we do these games with a good number of points, who knows?”
