Plot details for Wes Anderson’s upcoming film are still being kept under wraps, but in the meantime we’ve received a trickle of casting announcements. Most recently, it was reported that Tom Hanks had joined the cast of the film, marking his first collaboration with the iconic director.
According to hollywood reporter, the Oscar-winning actor’s specific role in the film is unclear, although sources say he is small and “could be cameo in nature.”
Hanks will join several of Anderson’s regular collaborators in the follow-up in Spain of The French dispatch. Tilda Swinton joined the cast in June, while Bill Murray and Adrien Brody were announced as co-stars last month.
When asked about the still-untitled film, Tilda Swinton teased that, while filming in Spain, “it’s not about Spain. ”The sets that appeared in Chinchón, southeast Madrid in May – including a train station and fake landscapes – have sparked rumors that the film is a western, although these rumors have the rest were denied.
