Korean zombie drama All of Us Are Dead tops Netflix’s streaming charts across the world – and Aussies can’t get enough of the gory series










Korean zombie drama All of Us Are Dead topped Netflix’s global streaming charts.

The action-packed series has reached No. 1 in over 25 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, France and Japan.

It narrowly missed out on the top spot in the US, coming in at No. 2 behind Kristen Bell’s dark comedy The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window.

All of Us Are Dead centers on a high school that becomes ground zero for a zombie outbreak and stars Squid Game actress Lee Yoo-mi.

Yoo-mi played Ji-yeong, aka Player No. 240, in the hit Korean drama and became a fan favorite despite her supporting role on the show.

“All of Us Are Dead tells the story of a group of students trapped at their school in the midst of a zombie outbreak, forced to band together to survive,” Netflix said in a statement.

“With thousands of students immediately infected (represented in the most realistic and thrilling visuals), there are only a few left alive on campus,” he continues.

“This series revolves around these students who are bound by a desire for survival as well as betrayal and friendship in its most unlikely forms.”

Fans have been in a frenzy since the series trailer premiered.

“Korean movies are absolutely terrifying…love it. Train to Busan has got to be one of the best horror movies of all time,” one fan commented.

“South Korea really makes the best zombie movies/shows. The acting and makeup are still so cool and not grumpy. Also, this low key trailer reminds me of the anime High School of the Dead,’ another wrote.

“Finally a show where people know how zombies work and fight back,” added a third.
