LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers may have combined to produce fewer fireworks than expected during the third quarter of Super Bowl LVIII, but two fans made their best to spice up the festivities, storming the field shirtless.

Fans sprinted onto the grass at Allegiant Stadium from the corner of the Chiefs’ end zone, crossing almost the entire field before security arrived, pinned them to the ground and escorted them out of the complex. The interruption occurred after the end of the previous play, with approximately 5:19 remaining in the third quarter, and did not affect the game.

The streakers provided arguably the biggest surprise of the game after Usher stole the show with a halftime performance. featuring special guests Ludacris, Lil Jon and Alicia Keys among others. The Chiefs then scored their second field goal of the night shortly after the fans were ejected, cutting the 49ers’ lead to four points. San Francisco led 10-6 late in the third in a low-scoring defensive affair.

In the end, however, it was the Chiefs who won 25-22 in overtime for their second straight Super Bowl victory and third in four years.
