In today’s Automann-TV video we see exactly when the BMW M5 is the perfect car for the autobahn in Germany. The BMW M5 delivers performance that can put modern supercars to shame while still giving up to four passengers a luxurious driving experience. It is this unique combination of features that makes the BMW M5 one of the best cars money can buy.

When it comes to modern BMW, there seem to be two topics that dominate the conversation today. First of all we have the new giant kidney grilles BMW 3 series and 4 series, or you can talk about the impressive BMW M5. Fortunately, this article is about the latter.

The 2021 BMW M5 Competition is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that produces a staggering 617 horsepower (460 kilowatts) and 553 lb-ft (750 newton meters) of torque. This monstrous engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to pay via an all-wheel drive system. This all-wheel-drive system makes the M5’s impressive launches easier, but can be switched to rear-wheel-drive mode to keep owners drifting.

Thanks to this impressive transmission, the BMW M5 is capable of a 0-100 km / h (63 mph) time of just 3.1 seconds. From there, the BMW M5 Competition cuts a 0-200 km / h (124 mph) run in 9.9 seconds. In a highway acceleration test from 100 km / h to 200 km / h, the M5 only needed 6.8 seconds. Numbers aside, the ease with which the M5 descends on the freeway is shocking as it makes all other vehicles feel like they are standing still.

This performance becomes even more impressive when you remember that the BMW M5 offers heated and cooled seats that can massage you, a large trunk and leather upholstery on virtually all interior surfaces. The BMW M5 is a master class in building a vehicle with a split personality that can be used on a daily basis.
