World No.10 Petra Kvitova didn’t have a great run at the 2021 Australian Open. She lost to Sorana Cirstea in the second round of the tournament and was quite unhappy with her performance. However, she was much more disappointed when fans learned that she didn’t actually know famous singer Taylor Swift.
At the 2021 Australian Open, two-time Grand Slam winner Petra Kvitova played the board game ‘Guess Who? ”. Even though she won against her opponent and famous Aussie comedian Andy Lee, there was one thing that bothered her for sure.
The game began, and Lee picked the prominent actress and comedienne Ellen Kvitova had to guess. On the other hand, Kvitova picked up Dominic Thiem which Lee had to guess correctly.
The game started and something unique happened. When Kvitova asked that the personality was a singer, Lee replied in the negative. Following this, Kvitova should have knocked Taylor Swift down but she looked confused.
She put it down first, then lifted it up again, then put it down again after confirming it to Lee. Andy was completely shocked to see this. He even made Swift’s signature move “ Shake It Off ” and told her she was one of the greatest singers of all time.
Petra Kvitova became the winner of the board game
Although Kvitova didn’t know a personality with around 150 million Instagram followers, she did manage to win the match. She correctly guessed Ellen before Lee could reach Thiem.
Lee also went to great lengths, but what really fascinated fans was her invaluable reaction when he learned that Kvitova didn’t know who Taylor Swift was. He reacted like he was living in a dream.
After her poor run at the 2021 Australian Open, Kvitova will be looking forward to playing brilliant tennis the remaining season. She has nearly ten months left and will try to improve her game. Can 30-year-old Kvitova win her third Grand Slam title in 2021?
