Wearing never-before-seen ensembles at the MTV Video Music Awards, Miley Cyrus went from crazy to inspired to downright weird.
The pop singer, wearing Simone Harouche’s otherworldly designs, was featured by LGBT youth for her closing number. The youngsters were all featured in Cyrus’ Happy Hippy Foundation InstaPride campaign. Cyrus’ performance with the Flaming Lips also featured popular drag queens.
The impressive number included a number of RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants, including favorites Shangela, Willam, Carmen Carrera, Pandora Boxx, Sharon Needles, Violet Chachki, Laganja Estranja, Latrice Royale, Alyssa Edwards and many more. Adding to the colorful mayhem, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne managed to fire a confetti rocket from Cyrus’ crotch.
Last week, Cyrus revealed in an interview that she considers herself pansexual.
Cyrus announced from the stage that his new album Miley Cyrus and her dead Petz is available for free download, but the site crashed almost immediately and was still unavailable at press time.
