The Dolphins’ surprise 21-19 victory over the Bills delighted Miami fans, who saw their team lose seven straight games to Buffalo before Sunday. Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, meanwhile, reacted to the loss as if it counted for seven.

Dorsey threw an epic tantrum in the coaches’ stand after time expired on the Bills’ final drive. The freshman coordinator slammed just about everything on his desk, including his hat and helmet, after Buffalo failed to pick up and attempt a game-winning field goal from over 50 yards. Here is an overview:

To Dorsey’s defense, it was a frustrating end to an even more frustrating game for Buffalo. The Bills lost despite passing Miami by 212 total yards and possessing the ball for more than 40 minutes. A 38-yard miss from Tyler Bass in the fourth quarter, his first puff of the season, was the first critical error. Then, with less than two minutes remaining, Josh Allen popped a touchdown pass to Isaiah McKenzie on the grass at fourth and base from Miami’s 2-yard line.

Still, the Bills got another chance after Miami racked up negative yardage and waived a safety via Trent Sherfield’s butt — yes, you read that right — in his final practice of the game. But after getting the ball back on their own 23-yard line with 1:33 left, the Bills went to the Miami 41 but were a second or two away from getting a spike to give Bass a chance for redemption.

The Dolphins moved to 3-0 with the win, giving them sole possession of the AFC East’s top spot. Buffalo is now second at 2-1. They meet again in Week 15 in Buffalo, so the Bills have plenty of time to secure the coaching booth for Dorsey.
