The title track from Billie Eilish’s recent second album Happier than ever is enjoying a surge in popularity on TikTok and the Billboard Hot 100, where it currently sits at No. 29. The song is a gradual embrace of the failing of a toxic relationship between two types of rock: windswept and cathartic , stadium-sized riffs. Such a sound demands a large stage, and for its performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Eilish and her brother Finneas settled atop the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California with a drummer and plenty of strobe lights.
Before the performance, Eilish sat down with Kimmel for an interview and some skits. They discussed his Grammy-winning song “No Time To Die” from the recent James Bond film, his recent documentaries Billie Eilish: The world is a bit hazy and Happier than ever: a love letter to Los Angeles and his to-do list, which involved cutting a fan’s hair and getting kicked out of Target. Take a look at those below.
