Revealing he was preparing to release his own album ahead of their final time on the road together, Sykes said he had agreed to tour with his friends Max George, 34, Siva Kaneswaran, 33, and Jay McGuiness, 32 years, because it was the ‘right thing to do’.

The Glad You Came singer admitted the performances were “not about the music” but “doing this tour because Tom wanted to do it”.
He told the Mirror: “There are more important things and this time we spent with Tom, looking back, is more important than anything.”
“Especially the last show, it was tough, it was quiet after, I think there was just that kind of energy in the air, that I’ve never really seen an arena like that, it was kind of a nice evening, but something I’ve never experienced.
Regarding the band’s future, he continued, “In my opinion The Wanted will always be a quintet, I think our focus has changed in terms of supporting each other and doing things together that can make a difference.”
