The Volkswagen ID.4 recently made its debut as the first of the German brand’s new family of electric vehicles to be available in America. Now rendering artist KDesign AG has come up with a variety of different styles for the vehicle, including a pickup, GTI, wagon, sedan and coupe-inspired crossover.
Starting with the most interesting of the group, the ID.4 turns out to be pretty good as a small pickup. In the real world, the tiny cargo bed would probably be too small for me to offer any real use. The styling looks good with this shape, however.
A crossover version inspired by the coupes of the ID.4 is actually quite likely to go on sale. If this matches your personal style, this is an appealing take on the look. VW saw this appearance with the Crozz II concept.
A sporty version of the GTI-type ID.4 also seems likely. For this rendering, KDesign AG gives it the front fairing and wheels of the current GTI.
Judging by the Space Vizzion concept, an ID family wagon is likely to happen eventually. It looks like an attractive family carrier here. The rendering balances nervousness and curves, while adding additional cargo space to the rear.
The Vizzion was VW’s concept for an electric sedan in the ID family. Rather than swoopy in style, taking this render is a more traditional three-box design.
The ID.4 will go on sale in the first quarter of 2021 with a starting price of $ 39,995. The base model will be rear-wheel drive, but there will also be a more powerful all-wheel-drive version in mid-2021 for $ 43,695. VW estimates a range of 250 miles on one charge for the rear driving mode.
