Quadruple Formula One World Champion Vettel, now racing for Aston Martin, and rookie Haas F1 Schumacher will represent Germany at the event in the resort town of Pite Havsbad on February 5-6, 2022.
Vettel won the Individual Race of Champions at the London Olympic Stadium in 2015, beating nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen in the final.
The 34-year-old has also won the ROC Nations Cup tag team title six times with Schumacher’s father, seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher.
Vettel won the 2017 Nations Cup solo, after the injury of his teammate Pascal Wehrlein.
At ROC Mexico in 2019, Mick Schumacher and Vettel finished second behind Team Nordic’s Johan Kristoffersson and Kristensen, who both return to defend their titles in Sweden.
“I am really looking forward to participating in the Race of Champions again and representing Germany with Mick,” said Vettel.
“At ROC Mexico we finished second in the ROC Nations Cup, so our aim is to do even better in Sweden.”

The ROC moves away from its traditional stadium format by running a wide and fast course of snow and ice on the frozen Baltic Sea, located near the Arctic Circle.
Vettel believes he and Schumacher will face a tough challenge against a wide range of Scandinavian stars more familiar with the elements.
“The competition will be very strong, especially from the Nordic riders who have a lot more experience than us on snow and ice,” he said.
Schumacher added: “Representing Germany with Sebastian will certainly be a lot of fun, and obviously we are aiming to win a trophy again.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting all the other riders and spending time with them during Race of Champions weekend.
“The snow and ice promise to make this ROC event extremely special, and I’m more than sure the riders will have a great time together in Sweden.”
Other riders confirmed for the event include Mika Hakkinen and Valtteri Bottas, Sébastien Loeb, Mattias Ekstrom, Petter and Oliver Solberg, Jimmie Johnson and Travis Pastrana.
