Venom: let there be carnage open to mostly positive reviews earlier this year, when it ended up making over $ 455 million at the global box office (unfortunately, China didn’t agree to release the film, so it’s unlikely that it exceeds $ 500 million). Now the Venom The sequel is available on VOD platforms and Sony Pictures has shared the first seven minutes of the blockbuster.
That’s a lot to give out of a 90-minute movie, but offers a much better idea of what to expect for fans who haven’t watched it yet. We get to see Shriek’s origin story, meet Cletus Kasady, and even hang out with Eddie Brock and his symbiote as they try to avoid Detective Patrick Mulligan.
The fact that so many stories are crammed into this preview underscores the frenetic pace of Andy Serkis’ film; this approach worked well, however, and we recommend trying the sequel if you haven’t already.
“Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the ultimate Marvel movie; seeing Venom and Carnage go head to head is a comic book fan’s dream come true.” we said so in our review earlier this year, “but the epic action is enhanced by amazing visuals, big laughs, and a surprising amount of heart.”
