Val Kilmer opened his love life and what it was like to have the chance to kiss Angelina Jolie, which is, honestly, what so many people have wondered, we imagine.
The legend of Top Gun, who recently battled throat cancer, remembered being cast alongside Angel in the 2004 film Alexander after having previously made friends with her.
Speaking in his new memoir Im Your Huckleberry on the chance cast, the 60-year-old actor had high hopes for his romantic scenes with the 44-year-old man because he had feelings for her long before.
You and all the other guys, man.
Val – who played King Philip at Queen Olympia at Angelina – wrote: “We have developed a friendship.
“I was there when Angie’s mom [Marcheline Bertrand] was losing his battle with cancer. They lived in his mother’s favorite hotel. Or maybe it was Angie. I happened to stay there myself. It was meaningful and deadly and effortless and exquisite. “
He recalled how Angelina was single when they made the film, having recently separated from her husband Billy Bob Thornton, as he added, “I couldn’t wait to kiss Angie, buy it [a] Gulfstream jet and have V + J painted in rainbow glory on the runway. “
“She had recently adopted her first child, Maddox, and the paparazzi were obsessed with this post-modern Madonna, the perfect image of an inaccessible celebrity and an incredibly chic maternal instinct.”
The actor admitted to having told the director of Alexander Oliver Stone that he would only make the film “ if the king and the queen could have flashbacks to fall hard for each other and storm the castle with passion, before turning against each other ”, which is only a small request.
Val was only half joking, but the filmmaker “didn’t understand the humor”.
Recalling how “intense” Angel was, Val wrote: “When people ask me what Angelina looks like, I always say that she is like other women and other superstars, but just more.
“More magnificent. Wiser. More tragic. No more magic. More down to earth. Is it worth it? Is it worth knowing the people who need weeks of effort to understand even a little? Yes.’
But at the end of the shooting, the couple’s short romance ended and Angelina continued to fall in love with her co-star Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad Pitt, whom she married and had five other children with before their separation in 2016.
Val – who has children Jack, 24, and Mercedes, 28, with ex-wife Joanne Whalley and who had also dated Cher and Cindy Crawford – admitted that her most devastating breakup was the end of her relationship with Daryl Hannah in 2001.
He wrote, “Lord knows that I suffered from grief. But Daryl was by far the most painful of all.

“I knew I would love him with all my heart forever and this love has lost none of its strength. I’m still in love with Daryl.
“When we broke up, I cried every day for six months.”
