The 2022 US Open is fast approaching and Jon Rahm is preparing to defend his Major title at The Country Club next month.
We’ve already had two Majors this summer with Scottie Scheffler taking Masters glory in April and Justin Thomas winning the PGA Championship recently.
The US Open will take place at the Country Club this summer
Now the US Open will take center stage at Brookline as the game’s best match in pursuit of the famous trophy.
Spaniard Rahm won his first major title at Torrey Pines last year while Bryson DeChambeau won at Winged Foot the previous year.
The US Open is renowned for its long courses, fine fairways and thick roughs, with the USGA always determined to put the toughest test in golf.
Another starfield will set it up in Massachusetts with the likes of Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa and Brooks Koepka looking for glory.

US Open 2022: The course
The Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the United States having been established in 1882.
It was designed by Willie and Alex Campbell and recently underwent a Gil Hanse restoration.
It will play at a par 72 and will have a maximum length of 7,445 meters with three Par 3s and three Par 5s.
The last major tournament held at the Country Club was the 2013 US Amateur, won by Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick.
The last US Open held there was in 1988 when Curtis Strange beat Nick Faldo in a play-off.
US Open 2022: Ranking

The US Open field will be stacked with top talent
US Open 2022: Tee Times and Field
Tee times for the tournament will be confirmed the Wednesday before the opening round.
The field will consist of 156 players before Friday night’s cut.
It remains to be seen whether three-time champion Tiger Woods will be on the field.
Woods made the PGA Championship cut but pulled out after all three rounds and was clearly feeling the strain from his recent injuries.
The legendary player has promised he will travel to the 150th Open at St Andrews in July, but it is uncertain whether he will feature at the Country Club.
DeChambeau had to pull out of the PGA Championship due to injury, but he’ll be looking forward to coming back and defending his title. Paul Casey also had to forfeit Southern Hills but should be fit for the US Open.
The ongoing saga surrounding Phil Mickelson is also unresolved. He is eligible to play at the US Open but has yet to confirm if he will.
