The United Kingdom and Ireland must add to Europe’s travel ban imposed on the United States by the coronavirus pandemic, Donald Trump confirmed.
The new restrictions are expected to begin Monday evening.
It is believed that US citizens, green card holders and others will still be allowed to return to the United States.
However, they will be sent to 13 selected airports and subjected to health checks and quarantine orders, the AP news agency reported.
There have been 50 deaths in the United States, Trump said at a White House press conference.
He told reporters that he had taken his temperature before entering the room and that it was “completely normal”.
The President also revealed that he had been tested for COVID-19, but has not yet received the result.
