Key to closing the deal at Uni is the strong relationship Greengrass has with the studio and with Universal Filmed Entertainment Group President Donna Langley. Greengrass made the Thick headed movies, United 93 and more recently the star of Tom Hanks world news at the workshop.

Just published by Scribner, King’s Fairy tale follows a 17-year-old boy who inherits the keys to a terrifying world where good and evil are at war, and the stakes couldn’t be higher – for this world or ours – as he journeys into the mythical roots of human storytelling.

King said, “Needless to say, I’m a fan of Paul Greengrass and think he’s a great fit for this movie.”

Greengrass called the book “a work of genius – a classic adventure story and also a disturbing contemporary allegory”.

King is replaced by Rand Holston Management and Gang Tire Ramer. Greengrass is replaced by CAA and Goodman Genow.
