The Ferrari Cavalcade is an annual meeting and a road trip for owners of vehicles from the Italian brand. To celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary in 2021, Prancing Horsesing is building five carriages that take inspiration from the sites along the route. The first of these is an 812 Competizione A in the shade Blu Capri.
The color is a green shade with blue highlights. Ferrari describes it as an “intense, iridescent blue, displaying various shades inspired by the sea.”
Although these images are renderings only, the paintwork looks great on the 812 Competizione A. The dark color pairs well with the exposed carbon fiber decorating the front fascia, hood, roof and rear fascia. The yellow brake calipers look too bright for the rest of the design, and they could look better in a duller shade.
Ferrari offers no indication of other Cavalcade-inspired vehicles that are on the way. There are also no details on the prices of the Blu Capri car. The 812 Competizione A starts at €578,000 in Europe, so you can expect this one to cost more than that.
The 812 Competizione coupé and the Aperta replaced the 812 Superfast and GTS. They use a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 that develops 830 horsepower and 510 lb-ft and spins at 9,500 rpm. Ferrari says it hits 100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph.
Like the models it replaces, the 812 Competizione uses a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. However, some transmission modifications change gears five percent faster.
Ferrari manufactures 999 copies of the 812 Competizione coupé and 599 copies of the Aperta. Deliveries of the hardtop begin in the first quarter of 2022, and the version with the removable roof panel begins delivering to buyers in the fourth quarter of the year. Customers have already spoken for the entire production cycle.
