Sir Keir Starmer and Rebecca Long-Bailey were challenged about their eligibility and leadership skills in BBC interviews with Andrew Neil.

When asked if he had the charisma to transform the fortune of work, Sir Keir said there were “different ways to inspire people” and his “relentless” mission was to bring Labor back to power .

Long-Bailey said she had the “big ideas” needed to win the next election.

The couple were also asked about donations and actions against anti-Semitism.

In separate interviews to air on Andrew Neil at 7:00 p.m. GMT, the two Labor Party contenders pledged to keep the key policies of the party manifesto in 2019 despite his overwhelming defeat.
