UFC superstar Conor McGregor clearly has very different feelings about two of his biggest rivals.
The Irishman has fought Nate Diaz twice and Dustin Poirier three times, but he only wants to go into business with one of them and has something much more sinister planned for the other.
On Monday evening, McGregor reacted on social media to the news that The Diamond is currently hospitalized after contracting a particularly severe case of staph infection.
‘Get the scruffy knickers soon,’ he tweeted, prompting Poirier to become the latest fighter to suggest – without any evidence – that McGregor uses performance-enhancing drugs, he replied: ‘You’re done filming Roid House and you ready to get slapped again!?”
Notorious had the last laugh, as he suggested his plan was to kill Poirier if they fought for the fourth time, he wrote: “Yeah I’m in Amsterdam fucked up like a fuckin’ van.” You weren’t just hurt buddy. You were scared, don’t forget that.
“I’m coming back to put you in a box. Filled with this. I send you out of this earth. Permanent. Stay waiting for the road house too, mate, and the wife will love it”
Despite recently leaving the UFC, Diaz is still bickering with his former colleagues and was quick to chime in on McGregor’s latest social media beef, he added: “You’re all the two knocked out all the time.”
Rather than go after Diaz, McGregor responded by offering to go into business together after being inspired to do so during his ongoing visit to Amsterdam.
“u 2 but just for the weed we are building a weed business f*** the p***sauce i checked off at the press conference. Not even a thank you,” the caption replied. ‘UFC.
“He goes in a box me and you in a hot box for the shot hahahaa. I’m in Amsterdam like sadam rockin around Iran ahahah van dam chops his head off quick.
“Public translation: I fight you too. But I’m going to bury him quickly first. Much more practical combat / her panties / more recent history, etc. If he bottles it, it’s you.
“I’m also in Amsterdam, weed is great, and I’m not a villain, I’m just a big martial arts actor with lots of money.”
When he’s not causing trouble on Twitter, McGregor is preparing for a long-awaited return to MMA after his injury layoff that dates back to July 2021.
He is expected to return at some point in 2023, although his return may be delayed as he could face drug testing for six months after leaving the testing group to focus on his recovery.
The 34-year-old believes he will only be allowed two tests before booking his next opponent which could be Poirier after their latest social media skirmish.
