In the era of the pandemic, fans have heard trash talk in the Octagon more than ever before.
However, at UFC 259, Tim Elliot took things to the next level against Jordan Espinosa.
The main event of the flyweight bout, the first preliminary map that featured four knockouts and one submission before Elliot’s shutout victory.
The American claimed his second straight victory with a unanimous decision victory 30-27, 30-27, 30-25, but that’s what he told Espinoza during the dominance that inflamed fans of the ‘UFC.
While holding the half guard with his forearm to Espinosa’s face, Elliot became an opponent as a female batsman.
Watch the clip below to see ESPN desperately trying to cut the flow:
Elliott: “Heard you were choking a girl in 2018. Are you a drummer?”
Espinosa: “You don’t know the whole story.”
Elliott: “I know enough.”
Espinosa: “You don’t fucking know.”
It’s one thing to beat a man and win the fight, but then dragging his name through the mud at the same time and having a deep conversation is on a whole new level!
Elliot, 34, had his first UFC fight in 2012 and has seen a resurgence in recent times. For Espinosa, it is quite the opposite. He’s lost four of his last five fights in the UFC and needs to be careful if he wants more outings in the Octagon.
UFC 259 featured three top-of-the-card title fights with Israel Adesanya vying for the lightweight title, but the under-card turned out to be one of the best in recent memory.
Kai Kara-France pulled off a sensational knockout in the preliminaries and Kyler Phillips and Song Yadong also threw a fantastic back-and-forth.
