UEFA Super Cup 2022 LIVE: Real Madrid kick off time vs Eintracht Frankfurt, team news, live stream and how to watch Champions League winners take on League winners Europe

Real Madrid will be looking to equal the most UEFA Super Cup wins against Eintracht Frankfurt in Europe’s curtain raiser tonight.

Los Blancos know a win tonight will put them level with Barcelona and AC Milan for five trophies, but Frankfurt should provide a stern test.

The first European distinction is to be won in Finland

The men of Carlo Ancelotti’s side have booked their place in the Super Cup after edging past Liverpool to claim their 14th Champions League crown in May.

Frankfurt, meanwhile, came from behind to earn a penalty shoot-out victory over Scottish giants Rangers in the Europa League.

The Bundesliga outfit opened their new season last Friday with a 6-1 loss to Bayern Munich – who remain the only German team to win the Super Cup.

Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Start date and time

The UEFA Super Cup will take place on Wednesday August 10.

The match at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland will kick off at 8pm UK time.

These two teams have only met once in UEFA competition, in the 1960 European Cup final, where Madrid won 7-3.

Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Team News

Madrid are yet to open their domestic season, so Ancelotti could make competitive debuts in Antonio Rudiger and Aurélien Tchouameni.

Karim Benzema should lead the line, with Federico Valverde flanking him on the right past Rodrygo.

As for Frankfurt, new signings Jens Petter Hauge and Mario Gotze will be there but Jerome Onguene has been ruled out with injury.

Aurelio Buta is recovering from knee surgery while star man Filip Kostic has been left out of the squad ahead of a transfer to Juventus.
