Tyson Fury co-promoter Bob Arum has followed Frank Warren’s lead by announcing that the Gypsy King’s third fight against Deontay Wilder will take place this summer.
Last week Warren, the British promoter of Fury, wrote an exclusive column for talkSPORT.com in which he revealed that Fury vs Wilder III was “sketched for Las Vegas in July”.

And now Top Rank boss Arum has done the same thing as his co-promoter when he told Ringside Reporter that the fight will continue “before the Olympics – July”.
The Tokyo Games are scheduled to start on Friday July 24, which means there will be three weeks for the bout to be scheduled if it is to take place before the tournament’s opening ceremony.
Wilder has a revenge clause which must be triggered within 30 days of his first loss, and Arum also revealed that he had been “officially informed” that the US team was in the process of calling for revenge.
The big fight for Fury after his third meeting with Wilder is Anthony Joshua.
AJ is expected to face Kubrat Pulev in London in June for a mandatory IBF fight, with a fight against Fury on the cards later in 2020.
Arum, however, claims that “Pulev will knock out Joshua as Fury knocked out Wilder”, and says he “will consider a Pulev / Fury fight to unify the belts at the end of the year”.
In his talkSPORT.com, Warren also discussed the possible Fury vs Joshua fight.
“Joshua’s side inevitably cried out, but it’s Tyson’s time,” wrote Warren. “Of course we want to fight this fight, but both have contractual commitments and fights that must be dealt with. They must meet the Pulev obligation.
“We want to start the fight, the fight will take place on a 50/50 basis and it’s as simple as that. No one is going to avoid it. Anthony Joshua needs Tyson, he’s in his wake now, he needs him.
“It’s Fury vs Joshua, not Joshua vs Fury. Joshua has the Tyson belts he released. Tyson is the main man, but the egos have to go out the window.
“Some viewers also noticed that I was seated next to Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia during the fight, a man heavily involved in the Andy Ruiz match against Anthony Joshua in his country.
“He’s a big boxing fan, he knows the sport very well and he was impressed with Tyson. I know he’s also interested in Anthony Joshua, maybe they’ll come and do something when the couple finally meet. “
