Tyson Fury and his father John Fury flew to Iceland in an effort to bring about a face-off with Hafthor Bjornsson.
However, their idea didn’t go as planned because, unbeknownst to them, Thor is currently in Rome filming a movie.
On Thursday morning, Fury posted a clip on social media in which he announced his arrival in Bjornsson’s home country.
The couple recently discussed a potential exhibition fight and it seems the Gypsy King decided on a whim to try to speed up the promotion by calling his rival in person.
Fury began by posting a clip at the airport to his Instagram Story: “Do you guys know where we are? Iceland.
“And you know what we’re doing here?” We are looking for Thor. Go out and fight like a man.
Shortly after, he posted a clip from outside Thor’s gym after finding out he was currently overseas.
“So we came to Iceland to fight Thor,” Fury explained, “He’s not here, so now Thor if you want to smoke with the Gypsy King, you’re gonna have to come to Morecambe Bay and find me.”
Fury and his father John later acquired souvenir Viking hats and filmed themselves walking around claiming to have conquered the land.
At the end of the day, they were both at the pub after failing in their mission to find Thor.
Fury took time out of his trip to speak to Icelandic newspaper Fréttablaðið and said: “I came here to fight with Thor, but he’s not here, he fled to Italy.
“He knew I was coming and he went to Italy anyway.
“So now I’ve got my Viking hat on and I’ve taken over Iceland, I’m the new king here.”
Thor responded in his own Instagram video.
“I’m currently in Rome shooting a movie,” he said, “And guess what? Tyson Fury is in Iceland.
“He tried to find me, couldn’t find me, because I’m not there.
“But Tyson, if your team is serious, if you really want to fight me, have your team send me a contract.
“Let’s be serious and I will find you, I will come to you.”
