Real caller rolls out a new update to its application, called the Truecaller Version 12. The version brings new features and a redesigned user interface. So far, the company has rolled out the update for Android smartphone users in India. Here are the news announced by the company.
Video caller ID
Video Caller ID allows users to record a short video which is played automatically when you call your friends and family. Besides recording a selfie video, users can also set a video caller ID using one of the built-in templates.
With call recording, users can record all incoming and outgoing calls. All recordings are stored locally on the phone. The feature was previously available to paid users, but will now be available to all users of smartphones running Android 5.0 or higher.
With the call announcement, users can know who is calling without even looking at their phone. Truecaller will read the name of the caller, even if the contact is not saved in your phone book. The call announcement will only be available to Premium and Gold subscribers.
With the ghost call feature, users can set any name, number and photo to make the user appear to be receiving a call from that person. Ghost Call will only be available for Truecaller Premium and Gold subscribers.
The subscription to Truecaller Premium is priced at Rs 179 for three months, Rs 339 for six months and Rs 529 for one year. Truecaller Gold membership is priced at Rs 2,500 per year.
Truecaller is one of the most popular platforms for checking contacts and blocking unwanted communications. The platform claims that it has over 300 million users worldwide. Earlier this year, the company added the functionality of group voice calling, smart texting, and inbox cleaning based on user feedback.
