Travis Kelce Reacts to ‘Brilliant’ Prank That Traumatized Taylor Swift – HuffPost

Um, we guess poor Taylor Swift didn’t immediately get rid of it.

Comedian Andrew Santino appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Jason and Travis Kelcethe podcast “New heightswhen the comic was asked about an episode of MTV’s “Punk’d” in 2012.» in which Santino enlisted Justin Bieber play a prank on Swift.

“Oh, I saw that because I watched ‘Punk’d,'” Kelce responded excitedly when the topic involving his girlfriend was mentioned.

In the episode (which you can watch below), Bieber invites Swift to his new recording studio built in a swanky Malibu home that overlooks the ocean. Before the two begin recording, a friend of Bieber’s suggests lighting fireworks from the house’s outdoor deck into the ocean. As Bieber and his friend set off fireworks, Swift seemed worried and didn’t really want to participate. But the two persuade her to start one. Immediately after setting off his explosive, a nearby boat in the ocean catches fire.

“There was a wedding party [on board]”, Santino recalled to Kelce. “I was [playing] the groom, and we were taken ashore with our boat on fire, and we blamed [Swift] for ruining our marriage.

“It’s so good,” Kelce said of the prank with a huge smile on his face. He continued to laugh as Santino told the whole joke.

In the 2012 episode “Punk’d,” Swift seemed to totally buy into the gag, looking distraught over the situation and suggesting they call the Coast Guard for help. When it’s finally revealed to her that the whole fiasco was just a prank, she seems genuinely upset with Bieber for putting her through this ordeal and shoves him.

“I just got punked,” Swift said after the game was over, standing next to Bieber. “And it was incredibly traumatic and brilliant and this is the guy who did it to me.”

“I had to do it,” Bieber responds.

After Santino remembered the 2012 prank he wrote and starred in, he and Kelce wondered if Swift really believed she set fire to a boat and ruined a man’s wedding. couple.

“I’m going to see if she was trying to sell it or not,” the NFL player told Santino. “When I saw it, I bought it.”

The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer maintained that she really bought into the fake storyline.

Swift told CMT Insider via MTV in 2012 that she was “absolutely traumatized and terrified” by the experience. She also said she probably wouldn’t prank Bieber in revenge, saying she wasn’t “really that girl.”

“He’s too smart. I would never be able to punk him,” Swift told the outlet at the time. “Like, he would understand, then turn the tables on me, and then it would be Justin 2, Taylor 0.”
