Travala Adds Support for Shiba Inu Crypto
Travel website Travala announced on Tuesday that shiba inu cryptocurrency has been added to its website as a payment method.
The company’s official account tweeted to congratulate shiba inu supporters for winning the token battle he set up a few days ago, adding that SHIB is now listed as a payment method on Travala.com and can be used to book over 3 million travel products worldwide. .
Travala staged a “symbolic battle” between FLOKI and SHIB on December 2nd. The company explained that the cryptocurrency with the most votes after 72 hours “will earn a listing on Travala.com.” In addition, “All users who vote for either token will receive a share of $ 15,000 in AVA, which will be allocated based on the votes cast.”
The vote ended with SHIB as the big winner.
“We are proud to be the leading cryptocurrency-enabled accommodation booking platform,” says Travala’s website. Currently, users can pay with 77 cryptocurrencies, including the same dogecoin (DOG) cryptocurrency and the new SHIB.
The crypto-friendly travel site announced earlier this month that its total revenue for November was $ 7.2 million, an increase of 683% year-over-year. Additionally, 82% of all bookings in November were paid for with cryptocurrency.
The adoption of the crypto shiba inu has been steadily increasing. In November, the Kraken and Gemini cryptocurrency exchanges added support for SHIB. Newegg is expected to accept the shiba inu for payments this month, and AMC Theaters promise to accept the SHIB in the first quarter of next year. Meanwhile, shiba inu supporters have asked the popular Robinhood trading platform to accept SHIB. As of this writing, 544,304 signatures have been collected.
